The Cove Cottage is a two bedroom fully self contained luxury cottage. Unlike the other properties we showcase on this website, the Cove Cottage is not located on Great Barrier Island. It is set upon nearly a full acre in one of the most picturesque areas of Auckland City - Torbay on the North Shore. The land gently slopes down to the beach at Winstones Cove with access to the beach via a private walkway through the native bush.

Pricing
NZ$300 per night for the first bedroom and an additional $100 per night for the second bedroom maximum 4 people.
Minimum 3 nights stay. Longer term rates available.
Reservation and Cancellation Policies
A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. Full payment is due 7 days before arrival. If you cancel your reservation 7 to 30 days before arrival, 50% of your deposit will be charged. If you cancel your reservation, less than 7 days before arrival, 100% of your deposit will be charged. No shows are also charged 100% of the deposit.
Bed layout
The Cottage has one king sized bed that can be split into two single beds in one bedroom and a queen sized bed in the other bedroom. Both bedrooms are spacious with their own ensuites and wardrobe storage, and are positioned at opposite ends of the Cottage.
How to get there
The Cove Cottage is located at 5 Ringwood Street, Winstones Cove, Torbay on Auckland's North Shore. It takes approximately 25 minutes by car from Auckland's CBD, and 40 minutes from Auckland International and domestic airports (Refer to the map).
Catering and Provisions
The Cove Cottage is fully self contained. All cutlery and crockery with some 8 place settings and kitchen utensils are provided. Restaurants, Supermarkets, Take Away outlets and other shops are located within 5 minutes drive. A three burner BBQ is also provided.
Entertainment and Activities
With Sky Television, stereo, DVD, books and games, and movie theatres located in nearby Takapuna, there is plenty of indoor entertainment. There are many beautiful beaches within the area and great coastal walks. Winstones Cove beach is located at the bottom of the garden through private native bush. It is a sandy beach with safe swimming. The best time for swimming is during the top half of the tide.

A land line telephone and high speed internet connection is provided. Toll calls are to be paid by the guests.
Laundry
Full laundry facilities; washing machine and separate dryer and an outside clothes line are provided. A Laundromat and dry-cleaning is located in Browns Bay approximately 5 minutes away.
Auckland

The coastline, like Sydney and San Francisco is a defining feature, with the Haruaki gulf home to numerous beautiful beaches and islands, ideal for swimming, boating, fishing and all water sports. From 1995 until 2003 it was the home of the Americas Cup, the world's oldest and most prestigious yachting trophy.
Transport to Auckland City
Regular bus services to Auckland City including park and ride stations located at Albany provide ready access to the city if you don't wish to use cars or taxis.
